As the third round of the Masters commenced on Saturday, players were greeted with a stark contrast to the challenging weather conditions they faced earlier in the tournament. The wind had subsided, flags were gently flapping, and the stage was set for a day more conducive to scoring and strategic play.

Leading the pack were Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, and Max Homa, all tied at 6-under 138. Nicolai Hojgaard of Denmark trailed closely, eyeing the opportunity to become the first player since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979 to win the Masters on his debut.

The presence of golf legend Tiger Woods added to the excitement at Augusta National. Woods, who made a record 24th consecutive cut at the Masters, expressed optimism about his chances to contend for the title despite being seven shots behind the leaders.

With Saturday traditionally known as 'moving day' in golf, the field was poised for significant shifts in the leaderboard. Fourteen players started the third round under par, including major champions Scheffler, DeChambeau, Collin Morikawa, and Cameron Smith.
