Masters: The real truth behind the viral video of Tiger Woods watching doubters roast him

Tiger Woods won the Masters in dramatic fashion on Sunday, sending fans all over the world into hysterics (and tears) as he finally completed his long-running comeback with the most special win of his career.

Big-name athletes like Tom Brady, Steph Curry, and LeBron James tweeted their message of support shortly after, and even Happy Gilmore himself reached out.

But another thing that started making the rounds was a video of Tiger watching a collection of media members roasting him over the years, saying things like he’ll never come back, he should quit, etc. At the end Tiger smiles and everyone walks away from the video thinking Tiger got the last laugh.

And while it’s a a great video, it’s not real. I’ll show you the real in a second and you’ll see it was actually a video of Tiger watching of Tour players talking about how in awe they were of his then-79 career wins.

So in closing: The fake, viral one is great and makes all those who doubted Tiger look silly, which I’m all for. Because I’m team Tiger.

But I just wanted to make sure people know it isn’t entirely real.
