Augusta National Golf Club’s course in Georgia opened in 1932, with the layout designed by famed golf architect Alister MacKenzie. It ranks No. 3 in the United States on Golfweek’s Best Classic Courses 2020 list of top tracks designed before 1960.
Augusta National will play at 7,475 yards for this week’s Masters, with more than 160 feet of elevation changes.
The toughest hole in relation to par plays the most downhill: The par-4 10th tumbles more than 100 feet downhill, and players have averaged 0.31 strokes over par on the hole historically. Meanwhile, No. 15 is the easiest in relation to par historically, as players have averaged 0.22 strokes under par on the par 5 that plays over water to the green.
