Masters 2013: The final round - in pictures

golf: The Masters - Final Round
Augusta is looking resplendent as the players begin their rounds. Rory McIlroy (pictured) is well off the pace at five under, while Lee Westwood retains faint hopes of winning the competition from his overnight score of two under. The leader board at the start of the day was:
-7: Brandt Snedeker, Angel Cabrera
-6: Adam Scott
-5: Jason Day, Marc Leishman
-4: Matt Kuchar
-3: Tim Clark, Tiger Woods

golf2: Golf 2013 - Masters Tournament - Final Round
Look out - the old master Bernhard Langer has birdied the first three holes today. He won this competition in 1985 and 1993 ... could he really bag a third green jacket at the age of 55?

golf2: The Masters - Final Round
Rain is starting to fall and the umbrellas are out - but it's not affecting the performance of Angel Cabrera. The Argentinian is now the outright leader at -9 following birdies on the second and seventh. His nearest rival is currently Jason Day at -7 Photograph: David Cannon/Getty Images
golf3: The Masters - Final Round
Lee Westwood is all smiles. He started the day at two under before birdies at the second and the seventh moved him to four under. However, a dropped shot on the ninth (a hole which he has birdied in two of his previous three rounds this year) pushes him back to -3 Photograph: Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images

golf6: Thorbjorn Olesen
Thorbjorn Olesen of Denmark is laying siege to the course. He's hit seven birdies in 15 holes and is now, remarkably, in the hunt at -5. All of the players are now on the back nine and the leaderboard is as follows:
-9: Cabrera
-7: Snedeker
-6: Day, Scott
-5: Olesen, Leishman
-3: Garcia, Westwood, Woods, Kuchar

golf8: Angel Cabrera of Argentina watches a shot

golf8: Georgia News - April 14, 2013
Adam Scott is one of a trio of Australians chasing Cabrera, who has just faltered on the 10th. Scott has only carded one birdie so far today, but the consistency of his play is sufficient to make him a contender

Day also found himself in trouble on 13, but he magically birdied the hole. He then chases it up with successive birdies on 14 and 15 to seize the lead at -9 Photograph: Agencies

Meanwhile, Day crumbles on 16 and 17, carding successive bogeys before parring the last. So the leaderboard as the main contenders approach the 18th is as follows:
-8: Scott, Cabrera
-7: Day
-5: Woods, Leishman, Snedeker
