Arsenal fans were thrilled to see Emile Smith Rowe and Nikolaj Duus Moller shine for the club's under-23 side on Thursday.
The young Gunners were bottom of the table and without a win going into their Premier League 2 match against Blackburn Rovers, who had taken victory all of their previous fixtures.
However, the tables turned as both players scored twice in a 6-0 thrashing, with the visitors dominant throughout in Arsenal 's biggest win since the switch to under-23 level in 2016.
Fans on Twitter reacted with delight to seeing Smith Rowe and Moller perform well.
Many were particularly pleased with the Croydon-born midfielder, who is yet to feature for the club's senior side this season.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Moller was lauded for his brilliant showing and has been tipped to have a big future in the game.
@armchair_afc : Smith Rowe surely has to get a look sometime soon, he’s arguably our only actual #10 in the squad. Willock is a big shout for that role as well especially with his athleticism and ability, but I don’t understand why ESR isn’t given a chance.
@Mitchduring : Hope ESR gets a chance in the first team at some point.
@rehnato : Emile Smith Rowe is way too good to be playing u23's football. Heard a few months ago that Arteta rates him v highly.
@AlexNuggz : Would love Smith-Rowe to be given a run-out to see what he can do in the final two Europa League group games now that he's back to match fitness. Such a talent.
@m14edits : This is not ESR's level.
@MaximusArsenal : Nah this Moller boy for the u23’s is actually unreal man. He’s got to get a chance in Europa.
@1980_greenwood : Moller (the new Zlatan) has started well too! Exciting competition between him and Balogun going forward.
@Mo_Barack_Bello : For some reason I've got a good feeling about Moeller. . . well played lads.
@KingKieran7 : Moller = Generational.
@HowlerArsenal : Duus Moller with a masterclass. Our next striker!
