Christian Pulisic has been named in the Chelsea starting XI for this evening's game away at Burnley.
Linking up with the Blues in the summer after joining in a big-money move from Borussia Dortmund back in January, the United States international hasn't enjoyed the best of starts to his career in west London.
However, following bright cameos in the 1-0 wins over Newcastle United and Ajax over the past seven days, Frank Lampard has elected to name the 21-year-old in his team for the game at Turf Moor.
The introduction of the player to the team is the only change from the win in Amsterdam as Callum Hudson-Odoi has dropped down to the bench.
Speaking about the attacker at his pre-match press conference on Friday, the head coach highlighted the options he has available to him as to why Pulisic had not been starting.
"I think the way he has played he has deserved a starting place regularly in the last few weeks, but so do others," he said.
"It is the nice problem that I have, it is brilliant that he is coming on and making an impact, of course he will get his starts.
"It’s the reason he has come here, but we have Callum Hudson-Odoi who was top class against Newcastle, Willian, I have declared him our best player in the four or five games.
"They are good options for me and Christian is getting stronger and getting more with the group.
"You keep saying it with players, they come here and you have to give them a bit of time, particularly young players. He is playing well, certainly in contention."
