'Masterclass incoming!' - Arsenal fans excited about what Mikel Arteta has done against Dundalk

Arsenal fans gave a mixed reaction on Twitter following the team news announcement ahead of Thursday's Europa League fixture against Dundalk.

Mikel Arteta's side welcome the Irish outfit to the Emirates Stadium for their second Group B encounter following last week's narrow victory at Rapid Wien.

Icelandic goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson was handed his debut start between the sticks with Nicolas Pepe, Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson leading the attacking charge.

While this excited many Arsenal fans, along with the inclusion of teenage prospect Folarin Balogun on the bench, there was also plenty of criticism regarding Arteta's decision to deploy Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolasinac in central defence.

@EduardoHagn : Top lineup, let's do this!

@XavThe7th : Runarsson is being set up for failure with that backline.

@jackrdblackwell : Nice to see Nelson start and Balogun on the bench, but why Saliba wasn’t registered earlier in the month I don’t know. Surely better than Kolasinac at CB. Also is Smith-Rowe still injured, because he should be starting too.

@afcluis : Reiss should start vs United too.

@BradleyHardy09 : For Arteta to not believe Saliba is ready for any competitive football for us and then continue to play Kolasinac. A player that clearly isn’t fit to play football for us is such a disaster.

@Kobe4evr : This the lineup you put out in Football Manager when you have too many fringe players angry at their playing time.

@abuu_abduli : William and Partey should've started this game. They need more game time. Others are okay.

@epidinemuri : Nelson masterclass incoming.
