MasterChef fans want Joey Essex banned from cooking after he invents 'Stirotto'

Celebrity MasterChef fans want Joey Essex banned from cooking after he invented a 'Stirotto'.

The former TOWIE star was sent home from the competition after his bizarre new dish, along with some impromptu rapping, failed to impress the judges

The semi-finalists had to use the leftovers from their previous challenge to make one dish in 80 minutes - and Joey went very rogue.

"I like to take risks and when you take a risk and it works it's brilliant," said Joey, before revealing his extraordinary meal.

Joey baffled Gregg Wallace and John Torode when he unveiled his 'Stirotto' - a cross between a stir fry and a risotto.

The new creation featured boiled rice and eggs, with a stir fry of broccoli, peppers, mushroom and tomatoes, flavoured with garlic and ginger.

Confused John said: "Joey is making something he is deciding to call a Stirotto. Lots of different vegetables with a rice. But he wants to be sticky and gluey. I don’t understand."

After finish off his delicacy, Joey came up to the table and started rapping about his dish.

He said: "That's a Stirotto, that's my motto. That's not dirty, that's certi. Even if you served it to certain man, served it to my nan. You would say it's quite peng, my nan would say it's quite leng."

Giving his critique, Gregg said the broccoli was "great" but he needed work on his presentation and it was like a "cold rice pudding".

John admitted he liked the garlic and ginger with the vegetables but claimed the rice had gone mushy.

"It's a new invention. I think it could be served in restaurants," said Joey.

However, John lacked the same confidence and insisted that that it would not take off.

Celebrity MasterChef fans took to Twitter after seeing Joey's whacky creation.

One viewer said: "I sometimes wonder if we are too hard on Joey Essex. Then he does that embarrassing regarded rap to introduce his “Stirotto”"

Another added: "Starting a petition to ban Joey Essex from cooking food"

Joey didn't do enough to impress the the judges and was kicked out of the competition.

The reality TV star admitted he "enjoyed" his time on the show as he said goodbye to Gregg and John.

Speaking about his exit, Joey said: "It's the story of my life ain't it. I feel like sometimes you’ve got to take your challenges on and I took it on and am coming out with my head held high."
