MasterChef's new series was flooded with complaints from viewers all taking issue with the same thing.
The 18th series of the cooking show was slammed for copying Australian and American versions of the programme.
Many annoyed viewers said how the programme had become "more about people who want to be on TV".
One wrote: "#masterchef oh no they have spoiled it to much like the Australian rub ish talk talk talk." Lisapollard72 wrote: "Why have you changed it? This is not what we asked for #MasterChef."
Another echoed: "#MasterChef has gone a downhill it's incredible. They should have known not the f--- with the recipe. It used to be a show about cooking, now it's a show about the people who want to be on TV. I don't give a s--- what they are thinking."
"#MasterChef really don’t like this new format." Asphalt_World agreed: "Mastechef has finally cracked and gone all US/Aus on us. How sad. #masterchef." And PColin321 said: "#Masterchef There's a lot of inter-contestant chat. I don't like it."
Some took issue with the contestants perching on stools, with one adding: "What's with the awkward stools? Going Westlife mode? #MasterChefUK #MasterChef."
"What are the rest of the contestants doing on stools? #MasterChef." And JasJudge added: "Waste of time the others contestants just sitting around.. #MasterChefUK #MasterChef," another chimed.
But not everyone agrees, some fans said they liked the new format.
"So pleased @MasterChefUK is following in the footsteps of @masterchefau at last with a audition round. Australia's had this right for years! #Masterchef #MasterchefUK #MasterchefAustralia."
One added: "Oooh a format change! #Masterchef #MasterchefUK."
Previously Gregg and John would watch the contestants preparing the food and would eat it when it was room temperature for authenticity.
Whereas now Gregg and John are in the new Tasting Room instead of with the contestants, as they prepare their dishes.
The show was relaunched in 2005 and has been going strong ever since.
Speaking of the format changes, a spokesperson for BBC said: "The BBC says: “Each week for five weeks, nine home cooks cook for the judges.
"This year their first test is the audition round, in which they must cook their signature dish – one that tells John and Gregg who they are as a cook and how good they could become.
"John and Gregg don’t watch the chefs in the kitchen. Instead, they taste each dish in the new MasterChef Tasting Room.
"After they have tasted all nine dishes, the best three dishes will be awarded a coveted MasterChef apron, securing their place in the competition.
"The remaining six contestants then get another chance to impress the judges and win themselves an apron. If they cooked a sweet dish in the first round, they must prepare a savoury dish now, or vice versa."
