Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is relishing the Premier League title battle with Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side.
Guardiola hit the headlines at the weekend after City beat Newcastle United 5-0 at the Etihad to move back to the top of the table, claiming 'everyone in the country' supports Liverpool.
Reds boss Klopp responded on Monday, insisting the Spaniard's comment were made in the heat of the moment, coming on the back of his side's painful Champions League semi-final exit. Liverpool did negotiate their last-four clash and will now face City's conquerors Real Madrid in the final in Paris on May 28.

Guardiola tried to move on from his comments today at his press conference to preview City's trip to Wolves on Wednesday night.
"It's going to happen, hopefully we can push them too," Guardiola said of the title race, adding that Liverpool's clash with Aston Villa tonight (Tuesday) won't change his preparations for the match with Wolves tomorrow.
"It happens last four, five years. Both teams have done another impressive season. We know exactly what we have to do, nine points, we will try to be there. Tomorrow is a final for us, Wednesday gives us an opportunity to arrive in the last game here with the title in our hands. It's massively important."
Guardiola was also asked about the reported imminent arrival of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland at the Etihad. But he said he had been asked by the German club and by City not to comment until the transfer had been announced.
