Massive 'pop-up jungle' opening in Bristol with over 3,000 plants to choose from

A massive "pop-up jungle" is opening in Bristol with more than 3,000 plants to browse and buy.

Taking place at Paintworks Event Space between tomorrow (October 7) and Saturday (October 11), the event will showcase a vast array of plants including hanging, exotic, prickly and bamboo.

With organisers Bergamotte promising something for everyone to take home no matter what their budget, there will also be a selection of pots and hand-made baskets for people to pair with their new foliage.

Tickets are free and people can just turn up when they like between 10am and 7pm, but pre-booking is advised to avoid having to wait.

How it works

There will be more than 3,000 plants to browse and buy (Bergamotte)

To regulate the amount of people in the "amazing urban greenhouse", visitors will be offered a free entry time slot.

Each slot includes 30 minutes to allow people to look around and discover the variety of plants.

Staff will be on hand to talk to people about the greenery on display.

The pop-up shop is open from 10am until 7pm, between October 7 and October 10.

Visitors are asked to wear a mask and keep socially distanced from each other to adhere to current Covid-19 guidelines, and to bring their own bag to minimise the impact on the environment.

Paintworks Event Space is located at Bath Road, Arno's Vale, Bristol BS4 3EH.

Free tickets can be booked on Bergamotte's website.
