A massive police presence is in place at a business park for what is understood to be the third day in a row.
It is believed that officers from Merseyside Police arrived at the Wheatland Lane Business Park in Seacombe on Friday.
On Sunday afternoon, officers were still at the scene and had set up a cordon around the entrance to a unit called Jaxson Motors.
Pictures taken at the scene show multiple police cars inside the business park as officers worked inside the unit.
A van and a mobile police station could also be seen in the car park as an investigation goes on inside the building.
This is the second time that the ECHO is aware of police searching the same unit at the business park.
In Novermber 2017 police raided the unit before calling the bomb squad to deal with two improvised explosive devices that were found inside.
At the time officers confirmed that a shotgun and ammunition were also found inside but it is not known if anyone was arrested in connection.
The ECHO asked Merseyside Police to confirm what has sparked the presence at the business park.
In a statement, the force said that their presence was part of an ongoing investigation but could not give any more details.
