Massive new lakeside office building in Bristol to have four-star hotel, restaurant, wellness centre and gardens

Pictures have been released of a huge new office development in Bristol which will include a four-star hotel, restaurant, wellness centre and gardens.

1000 Aztec West in Almondsbury is undergoing a multi-million-pound transformation into high-end offices.

The new Grade A office headquarters will include a four-star hotel, restaurant, café with lakeside views, gym, meeting rooms, co-working space, showers, roof terraces, electric charging points, 231 parking spaces and 118 cycle spaces.

The developers, commercial property company CEG, announced plans to redevelop the site in 2018.

The idea for the building, according to the company's brochure, is to break away from the idea of the traditional nine to five and challenge tenants to “embrace every day as an opportunity to work and think differently”.

The brochure reads: “The fight for talent is an important part of building a successful business. 1000 Aztec West is designed to encourage the workforce of the future, ensuring tenants recruit and retain the best staff.”

The building, which sits on the edge of a lake and is surrounded by landscaped parkland and gardens, will have "mindfulness areas" throughout as well as a 3000 sq ft wellness centre with fitness and yoga classes offered on a daily basis.

The office is opening in the spring of 2021 and is being marketed by commercial property firms JLL and Cushman and Wakefield, and estate agency Carter Jonas.
