'Massive' - Leeds United fans react to Jack Grealish injury news ahead of Aston Villa clash

Aston Villa star Jack Grealish could miss next weekend's Premier League showdown with Leeds United due to injury.

Grealish was not involved as Villa took on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday due to a leg injury sustained in the build-up to the match.

The England international is a major doubt for the trip to Leeds next Saturday (February 27), with some reports already ruling him out.

It is a significant blow for Villa boss Dean Smith, who is already set to be without right-back Matty Cash for the next three to four weeks due to a hamstring injury.

Grealish has been Villa's standout performer this season, the playmaker contributing 16 goals in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old has played a key role for his boyhood club, who sit eighth in the table having only narrowly escaped relegation last term.

At Leicester, Grealish was replaced in the starting line-up by Anwar El Ghazi's, with Ahmed Elmohamady coming in for Cash.

Of course, Leeds won 3-0 at Villa Park in October against a side that included Grealish and Cash.

But the potential absence of their star man has nonetheless given Leeds fans cause for optimism.

One said on Twitter: "Grealish out of the game against us... clearly didn’t wanna get sent back to Notts County by Raphinha."

Another tweeted: "Grealish being out next week is massive for us, have a real chance to get 6 points this week."

Meanwhile, a third supporter added: "Villa without Grealish and Cash next week! Big chance for us... not that they helped Villa's cause last time out!"

Leeds are back in Premier League action before they face Villa - taking on Southampton at Elland Road on Tuesday (6pm kick-off).
