Massive jobs and careers event for women in STEM is coming to Dublin

A massive career event focusing on gender imbalance in STEM fields is coming to Dublin next week.

Female students will have the chance to meet and talk to women working a variety of STEM industries.

There will be face-to-face meet ups, in-depth panels, and talks from experts working in big name companies such as Google, Amazon, Bearing Point, Microsoft, Prodieco, PM Group, Workday, Bank of Ireland, Obelisk, Mercury Engineering, and more.

The Gender Imbalance in STEM: Inspiring STEM Women careers event hopes to inspire female students to go into the field.

Students will meet with top employers to talk about job vacancies, ask industry-specific questions and network.

Women make up 50% of the workforce in Ireland but only 25% of the STEM workforce, according to the CSO.

Companies are looking to address the gender imbalance as Ireland aims to become Europe’s STEM leader by 2026.

The STEM Women Dublin Community Event  hopes to bridge the gap between talented graduates and employers, starting conversations and boosting equality in the future workforce.
