Massive haul of cocaine bagged and ready for sale seized in Sallins home raid

Around €150K of suspected cocaine is off the streets after gardai raided a house in Co Kildare.

A man in his 30s was arrested after gardai searched a home in Sallins, uncovering several bags of the deadly drug as well as other paraphenalia.

He is being quizzed at Newbridge Garda Station today while investigations are ongoing.

A spokesperson said: "Gardaí targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Naas area have arrested a man and seized €150,000 worth of suspected cocaine.

"Yesterday evening, Tuesday 9th February 2021, Gardaí carried out a search of a residential property in Sallins, Co. Kildare.

"During the course of the search €150,000 worth of cocaine (pending analysis) and other drug paraphernalia was seized.

"A male in his 30s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Newbridge Garda station. He can be detained for 7 days."
