Massive garda search after suspected attempted burglary in Raheny

Two alleged burglars managed to escape gardai after a massive hunt in North Dublin last night.

Gardai swarmed the Ennafort and Howth Road areas in Raheny last night after the men were observed by officers leaving a house.

Many locals noticed the helicopter flying low over the area and St Anne's Park as a huge search got underway to find the two men who managed to evade the search teams.

Luckily nothing was taken from the house and nothing was damaged.

A spokesman told Dublin Live the investigation is ongoing.

"While on patrol, Gardai observed two males exiting a house.

"Gardai pursued the males on foot and a search of the area was conducted but the males were not located. It's understood there was no damage to the house and no items were taken. Investigations are ongoing."
