Massive fire breaks out at former Jordanhill College campus

A huge fire has broken out at the former Jordanhill Campus in Glasgow's west end.

Firefighters have raced  to the scene of the blaze in one of the buildings.

The campus is currently being developed into a £100 million luxury housing development.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We are in attendance at a fire in the Jordanhill Campus.

"We can confirm that we have five appliances at the scene."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman added: "We have received reports that there is a fire in the former Jordanhill College.

"We received the call just after 4.05pm that the building was on fire."
