The tragic death of a woman at a house sparked a massive emergency service response.
Police were called to Stanton Crescent in Westvale, Kirkby , by paramedics shortly after 3pm on Wednesday afternoon.
An air ambulance also landed on a field close to the scene after reports that a woman had collapsed inside a house on the residential street.
The woman tragically died inside the house before she could be taken to hospital for treatment.
Police said there are no suspicious circumstances.
In a statement, the North West Ambulance Service told the ECHO : "Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance were called at 2.23pm to a house on Stanton Crescent in Kirkby.
"No-one was taken to hospital."
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm that emergency services are in Kirkby following the non-suspicious death of a woman this afternoon, Wednesday 20 November.
"At around 3.15pm, officers attended Stanton Crescent at the request of the ambulance service to reports of a woman having collapsed and sadly been pronounced deceased.
"Initial enquiries indicate that there are no suspicious circumstances."
