Massive billboard poking fun at Boris Johnson's senior adviser Dominic Cummings put up in Salford during Conservative Party Conference

A massive billboard poking fun at Boris Johnson's chief adviser Dominic Cummings has appeared in Salford.

The huge poster, on Chapel Street, includes a photograph of Mr Cummings with the words: "Tory MPs largely do not care about these poorer people. They don't care about the NHS."

Mr Cummings is said to have made the comment back in 2017 - before he was appointed to the top job.,

The billboard was created by pro-Remain campaign group 'Led by Donkeys'.

It appeared just days after the Prime Minister announced plans for 40 new hospitals at the start of the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester.

Mr Johnson pledged £13bn towards the new hospitals, with the intention to create state-of-the-art faciltiies.

Mr Cummings' words appear to have come back to haunt the Conservatives.

Mr Cummings chaired the Vote Leave campaign and was criticised for penning the '£350m-a-week for the NHS' claim, which was emblazoned on buses and turned out to be false.
