Massive 80s event with Jason Donovan at Leeds First Direct Arena cancelled

A huge 80s event at Leeds' First Direct Arena that was set to feature Jason Donovan has been cancelled.

A selection of massive 80s acts were set to feature in the show, including headline acts Sister Sledge, who are responsible for huge hits 'We Are Family' and 'Frankie'.

Other acts that were set to perform include Martika and Five Star.

The event was due to take place on November 3, but ticketing giant Ticketmaster says that the whole tour has been cancelled.

There has been no word from the organisers yet, but a statement from the Bonus Arena in Hull relating to the same tour said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances the entire 80’s Invasion UK tour has been cancelled, refunds are available from the point of purchase."

As well as Leeds and Hull, the tour was due to stop in Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, London and Liverpool.
