Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) delivered an unfiltered rebuke of President Donald Trump and his administration, declaring that the damage being inflicted on the country could take "years, maybe decades" to undo.
"I just stand in opposition to all that crap, I gotta tell you," Lynch told press in Boston on May 23. "This president and this administration is dragging this country down — down every single day, in the eyes of the world, in the eyes of its own citizens."
"It will take years, maybe decades, to repair the damage that Donald Trump and that group of morons and buffoons is doing to this country each and every day."

The admonishment followed the Trump administration's announcement that it would terminate Harvard University's ability to enroll international students and revoke the legal status of currently enrolled students.
Harvard aggravated the administration in April when it refused to ban campus protests and eliminate all DEI initiatives per White House demand. Trump cut all federal funding to the university in retaliation —a move Harvard has contested in court.
Lynch, a Bostonian who has served in Congress since 2001, didn't hold back in his criticism, calling members of Trump's team "a god damned disgrace" and labeling them "morons and buffoons."
"It will take years, maybe decades, to repair the damage," Lynch emphasized.
