Mass street brawl as football fans throw punches and woman dragged to floor by hair

A huge brawl broke out between football fans in a city centre following the Europa League final.

Shocking footage shows fists flying between the mob of around 12 in Glasgow city centre as a girl is dragged by hair hair through the street.

The group - many wearing Rangers jerseys following their defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt - begin kicking each other as a number fall to the floor on Jamacia Street at midnight last night.

Footage posted online shows the group pulling and grabbing at one another as they grapple on the road.

They then start kicking out at one another, with one woman dragged to the ground, reports the Daily Record.

The woman can be seen kicking at people who approach her, before a handful of men and women appear to grab her by the hair.

The group roll around the road for a brief moment before the pair are pulled apart as one man narrowly misses being hit by a car.

The video was posted on Twitter last night after the Ibrox side lost 5-4 in penalties against Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville.

It came after Rangers suffered Europa League final penalty heartache as Eintracht Frankfurt edged them out on spot kicks to lift the trophy in Seville.

Aaron Ramsey saw his penalty saved by Kevin Trapp and the German side netted all of their penalties to secure the trophy after an evenly-contested final.

Joe Aribo gave Rangers the lead with his composed strike three minutes before the hour mark but Rafael Santos Borre levelled the tie up 12 minutes later with a poacher's finish.

Veteran Gers goalkeeper Allan McGregor impressively denied Ansgar Knauff in the 20 th minute and just after the half-hour mark, Filip Kostic fired a left-footed drive just wide of goal after a swift, decisive counter-attack.

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
