Mass brawl on ScotRail train between Ayr and Glasgow Central sparks police appeal

A mass brawl which broke out on a late night train between Ayr and Glasgow Central is being probed by detectives.

Police are investigating the "large fight" which took place on Saturday night.

The scrap involved around 15 people on the 11pm service from Ayr to the city.

Officers are currently conducting enquiries into the ugly scenes.

They say the train was very busy and it’s believed there are a number of witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police who may have useful information.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2100069865.
