Mass brawl erupts in beer garden on Super Saturday as pubs reopen after lockdown

This is the shocking moment punches were thrown as a vicious brawl erupted hours after lockdown restrictions were eased.

Things got out of hands at the Three Tuns pub in Tamworth, Staffordshire, as regulars returned for the first time in 104 days.

Super Saturday descended into chaos as things turned ugly when drinkers clashed.

People were seen swinging punches as pints were spilled outside the boozer. Women were also caught up in the fighting, the video shows.

One local claimed police were present but did little to put an end to the fighting.

Screams were head as drunks attacked each other in what was another set-back for the Prime Minister after Boris Johnson came under fire for re-opening pubs on a Saturday.

West Midlands Police Federation chair Richard Cooke predicted a coronavirus second wave could be on the cards.

He tweeted: "Just got home after a long shift late shift peppered with pub fights, domestic violence and drunken drugged up fools.

"If today was anything to go by the 'second wave' won't be long in the making."

There was disorder in Nottinghamshire too as several pubs decided to close after anti-social behaviour.

A mass brawl then broke out in Brentwood, Essex. Four people were arrested as police tried to restore order.

The easing of England's coronavirus lockdown led to carnage on the streets as revellers flocked to pubs for the first time in over three months.

Police were called to fights, people getting naked in public and other trouble with one officer saying it's "crystal clear is that drunk people can't/won't socially distance".

Worrying scenes of people ignoring social distancing in Soho, central London, and other places have sparked fresh fears of a second wave of Covid-19 and new local lockdowns.

The UK's  coronavirus  hospital death toll has increased by 19 as a steady decline in fatalities in recent weeks shows signs of slowing.
