Mason Rudolph said he’d have booed the Steelers too

It’s not how you start it’s how you finish. Despite some struggles in the early going, the Pittsburgh Steelers pulled away late and beat the Miami Dolphins easily 27-14. But as quarterback Mason Rudolph pointed out, they put their own backs against the wall and created the situation they had to dig their way out of.

“I wouldn’t have booed that performance too,” Rudolph said in reference to fans booing the Steelers as they went down 14-0 early in the game. Neither side of the ball could get anything going until late in the first half when Pittsburgh got a turnover and the offense turned it into a late touchdown.

You could certainly see as the game went on Rudolph’s confidence going up. Even on two missed deep throws in a row that would have essentially ended the game, Rudolph came right back and kept throwing it. He might not be a finished product by any means but those are throws he makes in a couple more games.
