Mason Mount sends message to Chelsea teammates following call up to England squad

Mason Mount has sent a message to his Chelsea teammates Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham following their call up to the England squad.

The trio have all impressed in their first season in the Premier League under Frank Lampard, and are joined in the squad by England regular Ross Barkley.

Mount has carved out a role in Chelsea's attack alongside Abraham, who has scored eight goals in 10 appearances in all competitions so far.

Mount has been included in three full squads for England, making two appearances under Gareth Southgate.

Meanwhile, Tomori has excelled since David Luiz's deadline day move to Arsenal opened up a space in the first team.

The defender, who spent last season on loan at Derby with Mount under Lampard, is able to represent three national teams - England, Nigeria and Canada.

Tomori was born in Calgary to Nigerian parents, but moved to England at a young age. And after first appearing for the Canada Under-20s, he has since represented England at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 levels.

Abraham is also available to represent Nigeria, and said following the Champions League clash against Lille he said he was still undecided on who we would play for, despite making appearances for the England side in friendly clashes.

Mount congratulated his teammates on their call up to the senior side, stating his pride in being picked.
