Mason Mount posts throwback picture that Chelsea fans will love

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has been with the club since a young age. The 21-year-old has broken into the first team at Stamford Bridge this season under Frank Lampard, having impressed on loan at Derby County under the Chelsea boss during the 2018/19 campaign.

He only made his Blues debut at the start of the season but has gone from strength to strength since then, having even broken into Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

The midfielder has been at the club since the age of six after being spotted by Chelsea scouts, who were impressed with certain aspects of his game, even at such a tender age.

Mount has continued to impress as he made his way through the youth system at Stamford Bridge alongside the likes of Reece James, Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori and Declan Rice.

He has made 41 appearances for Chelsea this season, and has taken to social media to reflect on his early days at the club.

Posting on Twitter , Mount put up a picture of himself playing for Chelsea as a youngster alongside the caption: “My first game, once a blue always a blue @ChelseaFC.”
