Mason Greenwood sends Manchester United fans into meltdown with unbelievable free-kick

Mason Greenwood left Manchester United supporters licking their lips with a sumptuous free-kick as the Reds ' second string ran out 5-0 winners over Newcastle in the Premier League 2 Division 2.

The 17-year-old, who made his home debut for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first team in Saturday's 2-1 win against West Ham, fired in United's fourth with a whipped, left-footed effort from all of 35 yards at St. James' Park.

It was the showpiece of a dominant United display, with Ricky Sbragia's side winning in the league for the first time since December 16.

Greenwood took his tally to 24 goals in 26 appearances this season with his double against Newcastle to add further clamour among United supporters for his permanent inclusion in Solskjaer's first-team squad at Old Trafford.

Nishan Burkhart scored two for the Reds before Tahith Chong got his name on the scoresheet with a well-taken effort from 18 yards.

Angel Gomes, James Garner and Lee O'Connor were also handed run-outs at St. James' but Greenwood delivered the stand-out performance, with United fans on Twitter mesmerised by his free-kick.
