Mason Greenwood says Marcus Rashford is his biggest inspiration at Manchester United.
With 19-year-old Greenwood on the same path that Rashford walked just a few years earlier, the duo have plenty of similarities.
It means Rashford is on hand to give Greenwood advice whenever it is needed.
Speaking to World Soccer Magazine, Greenwood said Rashford's recent experiences can help him as he tries to establish himself in United's first-team in the same way.
Greenwood also praised his 23-year-old teammate's recent charity work, pointing to it as an example of what sort a person Rashford is.
He said: "He's come through the same pathway as I am following at the club, he's helped me a lot, and it's so good knowing he's done the same.
"He's been in my position and knows how it feels, so it's nice to have someone like that with me and to look up to and play with.
"He's a good lad. We are all proud of him and it's amazing what he's trying to do for people."
Greenwood is the latest youth product to become a first-team regular at United.
The striker argued that this pathway from academy football to the Old Trafford first-team is vital for young players, revealing how inspirational it can be for academy youngsters to see players given chances in senior football.
"I think the pathway is really important," he said.
"That is clear at Manchester United with Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and obviously Paul Pogba coming through those ranks.
"The pathway is clear to see, you just have to take your chances and go for it."
