Mason Greenwood not with Man Utd squad as Red Devils board train to London

Mason Greenwood appears to have been left out of Manchester United's squad to face West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday despite scoring in the Europa League during the week.

The 17-year-old grabbed his first competitive senior goal in Thursday's 1-0 win over Astana but it looks like he will not be playing any part in United's tricky-looking game against the Hammers.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team will climb into the top four with a win but they face a West Ham side who are unbeaten since their 5-0 loss to Manchester City on the opening day of the season.

Luke Shaw has been ruled out of the game after failing to recover from a hamstring injury in time while Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial also look doubtful to feature with knocks.

Daniel James picked up an ankle injury during the win over Leicester last weekend and he is rated as 50-50 to make the team against West Ham.

United have not won away from home since their famous victory against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last-16 last season, but ahead of the game Solskjaer said he is not concerned about their form.

“No, I am never concerned about anything really," Solskjaer said. "I don’t walk around and worry about things, not at all.

“I am looking at what we can do to improve. I have never been a worrier. I think we should have won at Southampton , we should have won at Wolverhampton. Both of them should have been wins.

“[Wherever you play], it is still the same size green pitch with white lines. Sometimes you have to block out the mental part and play the game as you would do in the park.”

United will be aware of the importance of a good result against West Ham, with both Arsenal and bitter rivals Liverpool coming up for them before the end of October.
