Mason Greenwood names Man Utd's four fastest players - and leaves out Daniel James

Mason Greenwood has named Manchester United's four fastest players - and comically forgot to include a notoriously fast team-mate.

The United youth star has established himself as a member of the first team and has already made 32 appearances this season, scoring 10 goals.

Greenwood's rise accelerated following the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez in the summer and injuries to Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial throughout the season.

Now a key member of the squad Greenwood has been able to cast a closer eye over some of the bigger names at United.

And when asked who he would choose to compete in a 4x100 sprint race he told Soccer Bible: "That’s hard because we’ve got some really fast players.

"I’ve got to have Marcus Rashford on the last bit, Brandon Williams too, he’s rapid, Anthony Martial, and probably Diogo Dalot, because he’s very fast as well."

When prompted that he forgot speedy team-mate Daniel James, Greenwood joked: "Oh yeah… can it be 6 x 100m?"

Temperatures are due to reach highs of 20 degrees this week, compared to the chilly four degrees recorded in Manchester today.

United are staying at the five-star Kempinski Hotel, with access to the hotel's three outdoor swimming pools, gardens and a spa, as well as fitness studio with free fitness activities and tennis courts.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men are back in action against Chelsea next Monday and the Norwegian will be hoping the rest will do his side some good.
