Man Utd return to Carrington ahead of Chelsea as Mason Greenwood makes trophy admission

Manchester United youngster Mason Greenwood has spoken of his desire to win major titles for the club following a whirlwind first season in senior football.

The 18-year-old only made his first Premier League start on the last day of last season in a 2-0 defeat to Cardiff, but after a promising pre-season he has gone on to make 32 appearances in all competitions during the current campaign, scoring 10 goals.

With Marcus Rashford out injured Greenwood is expected to continue getting starts on a regular basis from now until the end of the season, and the England U-21 international has told of his pride at how the campaign has gone so far.

Speaking to the club's official website, Greenwood said: "It's mind-blowing really. Being in the Manchester United first-team dressing room and stepping out at Old Trafford.

"I can't explain it really. It's just amazing. You see me smile when I score. It's out of this world.

"I want to make my mark at the club and score as many goals as I possibly can. I want to win trophies at United, every young boy coming up from the Academy does, so it would be amazing to get one of them soon.

Scott McTominay is still continuing his recovery from injury (Eamonn and James Clarke)

"But if someone said to me at the start of the season, 'you'll score 10 goals for Manchester United in your first season', I would have taken it straight away. I've done that now and I want more."

Fred will be hoping to continue his recent fine form against Chelsea (Eamonn and James Clarke)

United's team returned to their Carrington base following their training camp in Malaga as they continue to prepare for their huge game against Chelsea on Monday.

The Red Devils know that victory would move them within three points of the Blues, whereas defeat would leave them nine points off the top four and would see Champions League football next season looking like a distant dream.
