Mason Greenwood hails Anthony Martial after Manchester United goal vs Watford

Mason Greenwood has hailed the abilities of Anthony Martial after he netted a superb goal for Manchester United against Watford.

The French forward scored for the third match in a row this week as he netted a brilliant goal in their 3-0 win against Nigel Pearson's side at Old Trafford.

Martial lobbed the ball over Ben Foster from an acute angle to double United's lead on Sunday afternoon, but his brilliant finish was no surprise to teenager Greenwood.

"He was brilliant," Greenwood told MUTV of his striker partner. "What can you say, it's Anthony Martial just doing what he does in front of goal."

The 18-year-old netted his 11th goal of the season when he sealed the game with a fine third goal late in the match, and Greenwood admits he is surprised by how many times he's found the back of the net this season.

"I would have thought you were lying!" Greenwood joked at full-time. "To have 11 goals is amazing. I want more and more so I am going to carry on working hard.

"It is an amazing feeling. I am just working hard for the team really. I am thankful for my goal and pretty sure I am going to keep on working hard to get more goals.

"I try use both feet, whichever it comes onto really. I just work hard and if it drops kindly on my left or right I'm happy to take it on."
