He said: "Mason... you know when he’s had a good sleep and when he’s stayed up late playing PlayStation because he might not hit the ball as cleanly in training!

"But what he does today, he does that time and time and time again and when we do finishing you seen an exceptional finisher there and are not surprised when it hits the back of the net.

"I've probably run out of superlatives for him because he's that good a finisher. He’s bailed us out a few times and he’s done it again and he's been absolutely top class ever since we gave him an opportunity against Cardiff in the last game of last season - and he was our best player in that game.

"He's just grown and grown in confidence and belief and he trusts himself that his talents, qualities and attributes, actually work at the highest level.

"You expect him to hit the target The chance in the first-half when [Angelo] Ogbonna blocked it, that's also a very good strike, a fantastic hit of the ball. The kid's going from strength to strength."
