At Hotel Blancvert Nasu in Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture, employees attached a paper with the word "Ochugen" (summer gift) to boxes that each had five masks inside.

The hotel, operated by Tokyo-based Sanwa Co. -- a hotel equipment company that also sells masks -- has seen a sharp drop in hotel reservations. Employees use their spare time to package the masks. The hotel accepts orders mainly from companies in units of 100 boxes at 300 yen per box.
