Masked thugs assault and rob West Lothian man in his home during 'callous' attack

A man has been left with facial injuries after masked thugs forced their way into his Livingston home and assaulted him.

The incident happened between 9pm and 10pm on Saturday (22 February) when four men forced their way into a flat in Forth Drive, in the Cragishill area.

A 62-year-old man was assaulted and some his property was also stolen.

The balaclava-clad men wore dark clothing and may made off in a silver hatchback car.

Detective Constable Kenny Alexander, of West Lothian CID, said: “This was a callous, unprovoked attack which has left the man involved injured and badly shaken.

“I would ask anyone who was in the Forth Drive area of Craigshill and saw anything suspicious around the time of this incident to get in touch.

“Likewise, anyone who has information that may help in our investigation should call.

West Lothian CID on 101, quoting incident number 4536 of Saturday, 22 February, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
