Masked Singer UK confirms double exit this weekend as seven celebs remain

Seven will become five this weekend on ITV's The Masked Singer UK.

It's been revealed the show, hosted by Joel Dommett, will lose two characters this Saturday, in a double elimination.

Traffic Cone, Robobunny, Doughnuts, Mushroom, Rockhopper, Firework and Panda are all still on the show, but two of them will be gone soon.

Amid fans believing they have worked out all of the characters, and their true identities, Joel will announce a double exit for the first time this series on Saturday.

The news was confirmed on Twitter and at the end of last weekend's episode, that saw Poodle unmasked as Keane singer Tom Chaplin.

After several names including Mika, Gary Barlow, John Barrowman and others, it was finally revealed that it was none of the above.

Instead, Tom took off the Poodle mask, leaving panellists Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross in shock.

Explaining his clues, he said Christmas themes were linked to Keane's track Somewhere Only We Know featuring on a John Lewis Christmas advert.

On why he did the show, Tom said: "I’ve got to a point in my life where I don’t take myself too seriously anymore. I think that’s pretty important if you’re going to dress up as a seven foot multicoloured poodle.

"I’ve also become much more interested in embracing different challenges - being in a band is like living on a little island, so it’s good to try things that are out of your comfort zone!"

Five characters have been found out so far, including Poodle, Lionfish, Snow Leopard, Bagpipes and Chandelier.

Australian tennis star Pat Cash was revealed to be Bagpipes, while Lionfish was Pop Idol champ Will Young.

Snow Leopard was none other than Loose Women star Gloria Hunniford, and singer Heather Small was revealed to be Chandelier in the very first episode.

The Masked Singer UK airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV.
