Masked Singer teasers appear during I'm A Celebrity leaving fans excited for series 3

Viewers excited about I'm A Celebrity's return on Tuesday night were totally blindsided as teasers for the return of The Masked Singer aired during the first ad break.

Having not seen celebrities in action in Gwrych Castle since Thursday, due to Storm Arwen causing damage to the show's production base, fans of the long-running programme were delighted to have it back, with Ant and Dec at the helm.

With Friday's show scrapped with just hours to go, there was no public vote, meaning the contestants themselves had to choose who was doing the latest trial, with Arlene Phillips and Kadeena Cox the chosen ones.

The duo had to take on the Bed Chamber of Chills but, just as the klaxon sounded to start their torture, the show cut to adverts.

And it was what appeared on screen in the seconds before I'm A Celebrity resumed that sparked excitement on Twitter, when firstly a giant pom pom costume appeared, before a giant panda flashed up seconds later, both to a backdrop of Todrick Hall track Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels.

Given that the last series kicked off on Boxing Day last year, it didn't take long for Masked Singer fans to put two and two together on what they saw, with one taking to Twitter to post: "Just saw an advert for what looks like the masked singer absolutely buzzing about this."

Equally excited, a second wrote: "Eeeeee! Masked Singer teasers! Excited!" and a third reacted: "There’s going to be another series of the Masked Singer woooohooo!!"

The adverts followed a post on The Masked Singer's Twitter account, which read: "I spy, I spy with my little eye. The Masked Singer SERIES 3! #MaskedSingerUK."

The first series of Masked Singer was won by Nicola Roberts in the guise of Queen Bee, with Joss Stone winning the second series as Sausage.
