Masked Singer's Traffic Cone 'storms off' after disappointing guess from judges

The Masked Singer's Traffic Cone almost stormed off stage following a disappointing guess from the show's judges.

Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and guest judge Olly Alexander from Years & Years gave their guesses on the show as the ITV programme returned on Saturday night.

But there was a first during tonight's show - when Traffic Cone nearly walked off stage after being guessed as a certain TV presenter.

Fans at home are convinced the Traffic Cone must be some sort of singer so everyone was very surprised to hear a left field guess from one of the judges - as they certainly had no singing experience.

Giving their verdicts, one of the judges suggested Traffic Cone could be David Dickinson, earning a huge laugh from their fellow judges as well as the studio audience.

Traffic Cone seemed to take offence at the suggestion as they turned around and pretended to walk off stage.

Meanwhile, they kicked off their time on The Masked Singer by performing Rick Astley's hit Never Gonna Give You Up, whilst he also impressed the following week with a performance of When She Loved Me.

His running joke with host Joel Dommett - where the celeb under the mask nearly knocks Joel in the head with their elbow - has had fans in hysterics, week on week - but their identity has left both the judges and people at home puzzled.

"I squared off against the fourth best in the world once. Cheeky!" the celeb said in of their clue packages, "But I also got smashed at Wimbledon. Still, there’s nothing like the sound of fans in the stands shouting your name."

Many think Traffic Cone must be a singer (ITV)

Names thrown into the hat have included The Chase star Bradley Walsh as well as singers Aled Jones or Russell Watson, Pointless' host Alexander Armstrong and even Rick Astley himself.

"The thing about traffic cones is they’re part of the everyday urban landscape," another clue explained, "But let me tell you, this one has an alter ego. I’ve lived a double life. Monday to Friday is one thing, but come the weekend, the world was my oyster."
