Masked Singer fans are furious at the 'injustice' of Harlequin not making the final after she was voted out in the second consecutive double elimination and revealing herself to be Gabrielle.
Five singers remained in the running for the series 2 crown as the ITV show reached its semi final stage on Saturday and, after delivering a flawless run of performances since day one, many were tipping Harlequin for the final.
A few red herring clues led some Masked Singer viewers to change their guesses to M People diva Heather Small but, regardless of who was behind the mask, many were in agreement that Harlequin 100% deserved to be in the final.
So there was shock that after Dragon was voted off and the last four acts performed again that it was Harlequin who missed out in the final, despite delivering a brilliant cover of Ava Max's Sweet But Psycho to try and land a spot in the finale.
Gracious at being voted out, and being guessed by Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and guest judge Matt Lucas, Gabrielle said she couldn't wait to watch the show back but fans were angry she didn't make it further.
One tweeted: "I’m furious that Harlequin is out. #MaskedSingerUK @GabrielleUk is one of the worlds best singers. She deserved to be in the final," and another reacted: "How could Harlequin be anyone other than @GabrielleUk I knew as soon as I heard her sing on the first show #maskedsingeruk but she was robbed of a shot in the final if you ask me."
Twitter was awash with angry reactions to Harlequin not making the final, with a third ranting: "Just shouted "f**k you" at my TV after Harlequin didn't get through to The Masked Singer final. How are you guys dealing with lockdown?"
Harlequin's exit means just Badger, Robin and Sausage remain with Robin the bookies favourite to win and Ne-Yo, Aston Merrygold and Sheridan Smith the hot tips to be inside the costumes.
