Masked Singer's Chandelier 'exposed' as fans convinced it's famous singer

The Masked Singer UK viewers were quickly playing detective again on Saturday night, as the show returned to ITV for its third series.

As six new characters took to the stage in episode one, Chandelier was one such costume battling for the title.

Viewers at home were immediately trying to guess who they were, as they dropped some clues - with many trying to work out what their costume meant too.

As Chandelier performed for the judges and the crowd in the studio, fans watching at home took to Twitter to begin speculating who it could be.

It wasn't long before fans believed they had it sussed too, with many all in agreement over particular celebrity faces.

Over on Twitter, fans were convinced the star is Jane McDonald after the judges made their guesses.

They were torn between Jane, Elaine Paige, Rachel Riley and Debbie McGee, but fans think Jane is a very good guess.

One wrote: "Before any clues my Gran said Jane McDonald."

"Jane McDonald is a shout you know," a second added.

"Chandelier deffo jane McDonald," another commented.

The celebrity left a clue for fans, saying: "I've shone my light in some very cold places."

It was confirmed last year that the third series would launch on New Year’s Day, with a second episode on January 2.

Joel Dommett returned as host, with the panel also remaining the same as series two.

Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan are all back trying to work out who is under each costume.

Get ready for the usual dodgy predictions and Rita screaming “who are you?” on repeat, as the judges give their suspicions over who is under the mask.

Of course, those tuning in are often very quick to work out who could be the mystery celebrities too, while a few characters last year did throw people off.

There are 12 characters in total, with six performing on the first episode, and six appearing in the second.

This year it’s Robobunny, Lionfish and Doughnuts up first in the launch episode, joined by Chandelier, Mushroom and Firework.

On Sunday night, viewers will see the remaining six taking part with another character set for the chop.

Traffic Cone, Poodle, Rockhopper, Snow Leopard, Bagpipes and Panda are the remaining six.

The Masked Singer UK continues Sunday at 7:30pm on ITV.
