Fans of The Masked Singer are convinced Stacey Solomon 's new dog is the strongest hint yet she's Sausage.

The Loose Women star, 31, as welcomed an adorable dachshund puppy to the family and she's been showing the new addition off on social media.

However, the arrival of the sausage dog has sent The Masked Singer's sofa sleuths into a spin as they're convinced it could be a clue she really is behind the costume.

One tweeted:" @StaceySolomon just got a SAUSAGE dog. I’m even more convinced now that she’s Sausage on #MaskedSingerUK xx."

Another wrote: "Stacey Solomon just got a sausage dog... is that isn’t a clue then idk what is #MaskedSingerUK."

Stacey has long been rumoured to be the Sausage even though she's publicly denied it.

The gossip even sparked a row between her and fiance Joe Swash as he was convinced she'd been working on the show behind his back.

Earlier in the series, viewers spotted a clue which they believed could have revealed the identity of Sausage.

In the opening credits for an earlier episode, The Masked Singer contestants appeared while That's Not My Name by The Ting Tings was playing in the background.

The Sausage character appeared on screen exactly at the moment the lyrics go: "They call me Stacey".

Other rumoured celebrities behind the sausage costume are Joss Stone and Sheridan Smith

The Masked Singer's Badger has made it to the final (ITV)

The Masked Singer returns to TV this weekend for the grand final, which will show the final celebrities being unmasked.

They are down to the final three with Sausage, Badger and Robin all singing for the final time in tonight's show.

Badger is rumoured to be Carl Fogerty or Ne-Yo, while Robin is thought to be JLS star Aston Merrygold or Westlife’s Nicky Byrne.
