Masked Singer fans convinced Sausage could be Stacey Solomon after clues and stunning vocals

The Masked Singer fans were convinced that Sausage could actually be Stacey Solomon after stunning viewers with her soaring vocals tonight.

Initially, the judges had believed that Sausage would be a man - but left them stumped when she began speaking.

Describing herself as a "tomboy" and a "bit of a silly sausage" and visiting 'Billie's burgers', fans initially believed it could be Billie Piper.

But after showcasing her vocals, fans became convinced that it was actually Stacey Solomon.

While the judges admitted that they were "absolutely bamboozled", fans took to Twitter to speculate.

One tweeted: "Sausage could be: Stacey Solomon? Megan McKenna?!?! #MaskedSingerUK."

While another commented: "I think Sausage is either Stacey Solomon or Sheridan smith #MaskedSingerUK."

A third wrote: "the more i think about it the more sure i am that the sausage is Stacey Solomon #MaskedSingerUK."

Sausage managed to get through to the next round, but the same could not be said for poor Alien.

And the judges were left utterly stunned after Alien was unmasked as chart topper Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

Opening up about her reasoning for appearing on the show, Sophie said: "The craziness of the show! And getting the chance to try and sing sounding unlike me. I love a challenge and why not do it dressed as an extraterrestrial?!"

Admitting that she loved the secrecy at filming, she said: "The hoodie you wear says ‘don’t speak to me’ and quite frankly it’s the best hoodie I’ve ever owned."
