Masked Singer fans change minds as they finally 'nail' who Phoenix is

Many The Masked Singer fans changed their minds during Saturday's episode, as they thought they had the true identity of Phoenix "nailed".

Previously many viewers thought Phoenix was Ricky Wilson. The former Kaiser Chiefs frontman is currently the Bookies' favourite to be behind the Mask.

Clues such as a reference to football, with the Kaiser Chiefs also being the name of a South African team and the appearance sticks of rock, which appears on the cover for Kaiser Chiefs' Souvenir album, have pointed to Ricky.

But now viewers think it is someone else entirely as the latest instalment of the unusual singing show revealed more clues. Phoenix sang "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John, and there was a shiny disco ball shown in the VT.

Taking to Twitter, Cheryl said: "Phoenix is Bruno Tolioni - he was in the vid for this Elton song. And the glitterball...", while Jade said: "There were quite a few Strictly clues for Phoenix", and Christine said: "Bruno Tonioli, he was a dancer in the I'm Still Standing video".

Wendy said: "Nailed on it's Bruno for Phoenix". Emma said: "Bruno has risen from the Strictly ashes to be on BGT".

The Masked Singer continues on ITV and ITVX
