Masked robbers hold up Batavia liquor store with baseball bat

Two people robbed a liquor store June 12, 2019, in the 1300 block of Wind Energy Pass in Batavia.

Two people robbed a liquor store Wednesday in west suburban Batavia.

The male suspects, who were wearing ski masks, walked into the store about 10:50 p.m. in the 1300 block of Wind Energy Pass, according to a statement from Batavia police.

KL Liquors & Pantry is located at 1351 Wind Energy Pass.

The robbers, one of whom had a baseball bat, demanded cash and a bottle of liquor, which an employee handed over, police said. They ran away on foot.

Both suspects were described as about 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds, police said. They both wore all-black clothing.

No injuries were reported in the hold-up, police said.
