Masked robbers broke into business and threatened staff member before stealing batteries

Police are appealing for the public's help after three masked robbers targeted a business and threatened staff in Nottinghamshire.

The robbery happened at the premises of Traffix UK Ltd, based at the former RAF Newton site, at around 11.45pm on Wednesday, October 2.

Three masked offenders broke in and threatened a member of staff before stealing a quantity of batteries used to power portable traffic lights. The staff member wasn't hurt.

It's believed the offenders left the scene in a white van.

Detective Sergeant Luke Todd, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of the old RAF Newton base around the time of the robbery or who saw a white van leaving the scene.

"We are also carrying out enquiries locally and CCTV footage is being reviewed.

"Anyone who has any information which could help us with our enquiries is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 1093 of 2 October 2019, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
