Police were called out to reports of masked men fighting in The Meadows.
Officers were called to Sandays Close at around 10.45pm on Monday, October 19, after a member of the public reportedly saw a number of men fighting with weapons in the streets.
Detectives have asked anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry said: "Fighting is totally unacceptable and we will always look to take action against those who commit such offences. Officers were swiftly on the scene, but could not find any individuals in the area.
"We will now be searching on local CCTV footage and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
"We have no reports of any injuries from the incident. No arrests have been made.
"We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the event or anyone who has any information to please come talk to us."
