Masked men rob Leeds shop worker at knife point

Masked robbers armed with a knife stole cigarettes from a shop in Leeds.

They stormed McColls, in Coldcotes Circus, Gipton shortly after 7pm on Wednesday, November 27.

One of the men was carrying a knife and he threatened a shop worker before stealing a large quantity of cigarettes.

They then fled in a dark blue Ford Focus and drove off towards Harehills Lane.

West Yorkshire Police have launched an investigation and officers are appealing for witnesses and information.

A police spokesman said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101 quoting crime reference 13190609616 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
