Masked men hold staff at knifepoint during 'terrifying' Wollaton pub robbery

Masked men held two members of staff at knife point while they raided a Wollaton pub of £2,500.

The three men in balaclavas entered the Hemlock Stone pub in Bramcote Lane at around 1am on Saturday, October 26.

Two staff members at the Wollaton pub were held at knifepoint and more than £2500 cash was stolen.

It is believed that the three offenders targeted the pub just after it had closed for the evening.

The pub manager was confronted inside the pub while locking up for the night.

A co-worker, concerned for their colleague, entered the building.

Both the manager and their colleague’s personal items were then taken at knifepoint.

The three men also took the manager’s car keys and escaped using their car with the sum of cash.

Detective Inspector Luke Waller, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This would have been a terrifying experience for the staff at the pub and I must commend their bravery in what must have been an incredibly stressful situation.

"It is important that we find those responsible as quickly as possible and I am urging anyone with any information or dash cam footage to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 38 of 26 October 2019."
